Poultry viscera meal

Meal of viscera is a powdered, semi-defatted product, resulting from the cooking of raw material originated from the slaughter of poultry, consisting of flesh parts, viscera, heads, feet and other organs, with the exception of feathers and blood removed in the bleeding of the animal. The raw material used is collected in establishments supervised by competent bodies. It is processed strictly within the rules of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply (MAPA).

Antioxidants can be used in their composition to prevent the fats from oxidizing. Due to the nutritional characteristics, containing protein and fat, this product has advantages in the formulation of feed for animals, allowing greater and better use in the cost/benefit ratio.

  • Costs: reduction in feed formulation cost;
  • Nutrients: product rich in essential amino acids and minerals (phosphorus and calcium);
  • Palatability: improves the palatability of the feed;
  • Safety: it is free of allergenic or anti-nutritional factors.

Poultry meal is used as an ingredient in the manufacture of balanced rations of non-ruminant animals (poultry, pigs, fish, crustaceans and pet food), and is sold in bags, big bag or in bulk.
