Brazilian Renderers, a partnership between the Brazilian Renderers Association (ABRA) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), will be present at Ethiopia’s largest international poultry fair: the Africa Livestock Exhibition & Congress (ALEC) & Ethio Poultry Expo (Ethiopex). The event takes place from October 30 to November 1 at Millennium Hall in Addis Ababa and promises to expand the reach of Brazilian rendering by bringing together key players in African livestock production in its discussions and activities.
In this context, Brazilian Renderers’ participation gains relevance with a booth integrated with the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA) and the Embassy of Brazil in Addis Ababa, in the Brazil Pavilion of Tropical Livestock. Being alongside Brazilian diplomacy in an official space strengthens the institutional presence of the animal rendering sector, increases the visibility of its solutions, and highlights the strategic alignment between government, diplomatic representations, and industry. The joint booth will serve as a support point for Project participants and ABRA members, as well as an institutional showcase to reinforce Brazil’s image as a supplier of sustainable and traceable inputs for animal production.
ALEC & Ethiopex has established itself as an annual showcase for business and innovation in African poultry and livestock. By bringing its expertise in producing meals, fats, and other high-value inputs, Brazilian Renderers contributes to technical exchange and the approach to potential buyers and strategic partners in the region.
Participation in Ethiopia is part of an international calendar that continues in November with activities in Turkey and South Africa, reinforcing the strategy of market diversification and consolidating Brazil’s image as a reliable partner in supplying sustainable inputs for animal production.
Brazilian Renderers
Since 2012, ABRA and ApexBrasil have jointly promoted the Brazilian Renderers project, aimed at boosting exports from the Animal Rendering sector—including meals, fats, blood derivatives, palatants, and hydrolyzed proteins of animal origin. Through participation in trade fairs, workshops, and other special commercial promotion activities, the projects highlight the attributes of the animal rendering industry and its products—such as quality, sanitary status, and production sustainability—and enhance the international brands of the products, fostering new business for Brazilian exporters. Information on how to participate in sectoral projects is available at brazilianrenderers.com.
