The Brazilian Renderers Association, also identified by the acronym ABRA, is a non-profit civil association founded in 2006, organized to bring together rendering companies, which are the companies that process the inedible parts generated from the slaughter of animals production, producing meals, fats, blood products, palatabiliy ehancers and hydrolysed protein of animal origin. It is governed by its own statute and by the legal and regulatory provisions that apply to it, especially articles 53 et seq. of the Brazilian Civil Code, Law 10.406/02. ABRA has its headquarters and venue in the city of Brasília/DF, being able to install agencies, offices or representations anywhere in the national territory or abroad. Its interlocutors are national and international government agencies, associates, the financial market, universities and research bodies, civil society and public opinion.

The Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) works to promote Brazilian products and services abroad, and to attract foreign investment to strategic sectors of the Brazilian economy.

ApexBrasil organizes several initiatives aiming to promote Brazilian exports abroad. The Agency´s efforts comprise trade and prospective missions, business rounds, support for the participation of Brazilian companies in major international trade fairs, arrangement of technical visits of foreign buyers and opinion makers to learn about the Brazilian productive structure, and other select activities designed to strengthen the country’s branding abroad.

ApexBrasil also plays a leading role in attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) to Brazil, by working to identify business opportunities, promoting strategic events and lending support to foreign investors willing to allocate resources in Brazil.

Additionally, investment attraction initiatives are designed to encourage the transfer of innovative technology to Brazilian companies.

ApexBrasil´s efforts consist of promoting the expansion of implemented investments, and with regard to potential investors, of ranking Brazil in the short-list of target countries and influencing investment decisions by providing strategic information, full support to site location works (assisting and monitoring the visits of interested companies to Brazilian states that qualify to receive their investments) and aftercare.
