COASUL Agroindustrial Cooperative was founded on June 21, 1969, in the city of São João (Paraná, Brazil), as a response to the challenges faced by local producers in storing, transporting, and obtaining agricultural inputs.
Over the decades, COASUL has significantly expanded its operations. Today, it is active in the reception, processing, storage, and commercialization of grains; distribution of inputs, parts, machinery, and equipment; and transportation and fuel services. The cooperative also operates a supermarket chain, provides agricultural technical assistance, and is involved in the production and sale of feed, supplements, and concentrates.
In the industrial sector, COASUL stands out for its poultry integration and a modern poultry slaughterhouse, certified for excellence in food safety and quality — the origin of the LeVida food brand, whose motto is: “We produce food that does good.”
In 2025, COASUL took a strategic step forward by inaugurating a modern Meal and Oil Plant (FFO). Thanks to its flexibility and raw material segregation, the unit will produce specific and customized products, meeting the highest quality standards and the requirements of key markets and clients. The industrial unit is dedicated to producing:
- Hydrolyzed Feather and Poultry Blood Meal
- Poultry Viscera Meal
- Poultry Viscera and Bone Meal
- Poultry Oil
The FFO was designed as part of the cooperative’s poultry production cycle closure process, adding value while promoting sustainability and full use of resources generated throughout the chain.
With this new facility, COASUL reaffirms its commitment to innovation, quality, and environmental responsibility, aligning with circular economy principles and best practices in animal rendering.
The cooperative maintains a constant focus on serving its members, seeking to modernize administrative and operational processes, reduce costs, and invest in technology.
Guided by values such as honesty, responsibility, fairness, cooperation, and ethics, COASUL continues to contribute to the economic, social, and professional development of its members, employees, and the community in which it operates.
