Brazilian Renderers continues to work intensively in prospecting new business opportunities for the Brazilian animal rendering sector. In collaboration with the Brazilian Rendering Association (ABRA) and the Brazilian Agency for the Promotion of Exports and Investments (ApexBrasil), the project is heading to Malaysia to hold the event “The Best of Renderer By-Products: Business Connection Malaysia” on September 15th at the InterContinental Kuala Lumpur Hotel.
The agenda of the meeting will include a presentation of the Brazilian animal rendering sector and the companies participating in the project. Subsequently, dialogues in the form of business rounds will be opened with potential local clients.
Business Connection Malaysia aims to increase Brazil’s participation in the country’s market. The goal of the action in Malaysia is to try to build a joint agenda with the authorities of the Department of Veterinary Services of Malaysia (DVS) to audit more establishments in the Brazilian animal rendering sector and increase the number of exporting establishments.
Since July of last year, Malaysia has allowed the import of Brazilian bovine plasma and hemoglobin for animal feed. Currently, the Brazilian animal rendering sector can also export poultry meal and meat and bone meal for animal feed. The Southeast Asian country is one of the priority markets in the 2024-2025 biennium Project.
Brazilian Renderers
Since 2012, ABRA and ApexBrasil have promoted the Brazilian Renderers project with the objective of promoting exports from the Animal Rendering sector – meal, fat, blood products and palatabiliy ehancers, and hydrolyzed protein of animal origin. Through participation in fairs, workshops and other special actions of commercial promotion, the projects value attributes of the animal rendering industry and its products – such as quality, health status and sustainability of production – and value the international brands of products, fostering new business for Brazilian exporters.
