The WOAH General Assembly aims to discuss and analyze proposals for regulations and recommendations generated by Technical and Specialized Committees to be applied by member countries to prevent, combat, and eradicate diseases that can also be transmitted to humans.

The sanitary requirements deliberated by the WOAH General Assembly are used by member countries in the construction of international sanitary certificates, which the Animal Rendering sector uses to export its products.
