ABRA and associated industries interested in exporting to the Philippines met with secretary Eduardo Chikusa, from the diplomatic entities of the Brazilian Embassy in Manila, in February this year. The group aligned procedures related to the export of Brazilian animal products to the Asian country.

The International Health Certificates (CSIs) accepted by the Philippines released the export of products promoted by the Brazilian Renderers sectoral project, such as poultry and equine meals, fats, blood products and palatabiliy ehancers.

Relationship with the market

In an important approach to the Filipino market, the Brazilian Renderers project, promoted by ABRA (Brazilian Animal Rendering Association) in partnership with ApexBrasil (Brazilian Agency for the Promotion of Exports and Investments), participated, in 2022, in the Livestock Philippines Expo.

The International Fair of Innovative Equipment and Technologies for Livestock Production brought together thousands of decision makers. And the ABRA and Brazilian Renderers booth remained busy, bringing the brand of associates and sponsors to the main Philippines event for livestock, feed milling and meat industries.

In addition to the opportunities provided by the Fair, the companies that are part of Brazilian Renderers also went further: they participated in the business rounds of Business Connection Philippines, an event promoted by Project, cattle and fish.

Brazilian Renderers

Since 2012, ABRA and ApexBrasil have promoted the Brazilian Renderers project with the objective of promoting exports from the Animal Rendering sector – meal, fat, blood products and palatabiliy ehancers, and hydrolyzed protein of animal origin. Through participation in fairs, workshops and other special actions of commercial promotion, the projects value attributes of the animal rendering industry and its products – such as quality, health status and sustainability of production – and value the international brands of products, fostering new business for Brazilian exporters.
