The Brazilian animal rendering sector continues to strengthen international ties with the upcoming Business Connection Guatemala, taking place on May 8 in the country’s capital. The initiative is part of the Brazilian Renderers project — a partnership between the Brazilian Renderers Association (ABRA) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) — and is supported by the Embassy of Brazil in Guatemala.
The event will be held at the Barceló Guatemala City Hotel in Guatemala City and will feature the presence of Brazilian and Guatemalan authorities. The official opening will be delivered by the Ambassador of Brazil to Guatemala, Henrique da Silveira Sardinha Pinto. The program includes an institutional presentation of the Brazilian animal rendering sector, highlighting the quality of the products and the production capacity of the companies involved in the Brazilian Renderers project.
In addition, Business Connection Guatemala will promote in-person business matchmaking between Brazilian companies and potential Central American buyers, creating opportunities to strengthen Brazilian exports in the sector.
The event will conclude with a luncheon hosted by REAM, reaffirming the sector’s commitment to international relations and market expansion.

Through participation in fairs, workshops and other special actions of commercial promotion, the projects value attributes of the animal rendering industry and its products – such as quality, health status and sustainability of production – and value the international brands of products, fostering new business for Brazilian exporters.
