Vietnam was the last stop for Brazilian Renderers, a partnership between the Brazilian Renderers Association (ABRA) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), on the Asia 2024 Mission. The project made a successful visit to the country, promoting a business roundtable and taking part in ILDEX Vietnam.

Held from May 29 to 31, the international livestock, dairy, meat processing and aquaculture fair is the main trade exhibition in the Asian region. Once again, members and sponsors were able to count on the support provided by the Brazilian Renderers stand. The Brazilian animal rendering space at ILDEX Vietnam continued to be busy and was the stage for business prospecting, networking and taking the brand of our industries to the world’s largest continent.

Business roundtable highlights the best of Brazilian Rendering

The afternoon of May 30 was marked by The Best of Rendered By-Products: Business Connection Vietnam, organized by Brazilian Renderers. The traditional business round was held at ILDEX Vietnam.

The event was also supported by the Brazilian Embassy in Vietnam. The Brazilian Ambassador, Marco Farani, and the Agricultural Attaché from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, Juliano Vieira, took part.

The program included a video showing details of the Brazilian animal rendering sector and Brazilian Renderers. It was an opportunity for the guests to learn about the project’s work, which is based on promoting animal meals and fats produced in Brazil and expanding Brazilian animal rendering industries on the international market.

The quality and production capacity of the sector’s products was also evident during the event, especially after the presentations by the companies taking part in the Project. Potential

Vietnamese buyers were able to explore the innovative technologies and good practices that make Brazilian products so competitive on the global stage.

After the presentations and discussions, the participants engaged in intense business rounds and business contacts.

Trade partnership between Brazil and Vietnam

Brazil and Vietnam are celebrating 33 years of diplomatic relations with a high level of political ties and a comprehensive partnership. The two countries have a solid network of agreements in various sectors, amounting to more than 15 cooperation agreements, protocols and memoranda between governments and ministries.

This strong diplomatic partnership is also reflected in trade. In 2021, Brazilian exports to Vietnam totaled US$ 2.6 billion. The animal rendering sector deserves to be highlighted: Vietnam is the second largest market for products such as poultry meal, pork meal, blood products, in natura products, fish meal and beef tallow.

This favorable business environment promises continuity and growth in trade between the two countries. An opportunity that the companies participating in the Brazilian Renderers Project will have first-hand access to!

Asia Mission

Brazilian Renderers’ participation in the ILDEX Vietnam Expo was part of the Project’s Mission Asia program, whose main objective is to establish commercial connections, identify business opportunities and promote the sector’s growth and development in Asian markets.
